As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am a qualified integrative therapist. I work with each client based on their individual needs, and the therapeutic relationship is built through the use of humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural techniques.
I began counselling clients in 2008, and have experience working with:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Bereavement
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
• Childhood and adult abuse
• Cultural displacement
• Health issues
• Eating disorders and body dysmorphia
• Attachment issues
• Relationships
• Schizophrenia
• Pregnancy and postnatal support
• Stress
• Identity issues
• Phobias
I have previously worked for charitable organisations, providing both short and long term counselling. I currently work as part of a counselling team in a Secondary School. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and develop strong working relationships with my clients.
I hold an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich in London. I have further completed a course in Understanding Adolescent Development through the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I grew up in Australia, and hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Monash University.
